This type of situation occurs especially among friends of opposite sex. The kindness and affection can be easily confused with friendly feelings of love. Very often, women are the ones who fall prey to this attraction. However, many men were also in the same situation.

Gestures that normally mean nothing is interpreted as something more than what it is. A lot of people get mixed messages about friendship with the opposite sex. Situations like these are normal, but up to the individual to learn how he or she will look into it.

Falling for a Friend - E 'each other?

And 'each other? People who end up falling in love with a friend should consider if the feeling is actually mutual. Unfortunately, most friendships are just friendships. Falling for a friend can somehow complicates the friendship.

How to handle the situation of Falling for a Friend

Once a person has established that he or she has in fact fallen for his friend, you must figure out the next move. The next move is crucial for the survival of friendship. A person who is in love with a friend can take advantage of the situation or the feeling to pass.

Most of the time, a loyal friend who would let the feeling pass. Taking into account all the reasons why fall in love with a friend would be detrimental to the friendship. This is perhaps because relationships never last more romantic, and almost all friendships last a lifetime.

A lot of people also go to the feeling of fear of embarrassment. Especially if the feeling is not mutual, which is often the case in which it falls to a friend. Unfortunately this can also cause a person of extreme anxiety that may also strain the friendship.

On the other hand, there are some people who are willing to risk the friendship in the name of love. These individuals run the risk to freely express their feelings for a friend. However, the person must also be ready to face the possibility that the feeling was not reciprocated.

This makes the situation more complex, like coming in friendship, after a public declaration of affection can also strain the relationship. In most cases, both parties begin to feel uncomfortable in each other's company. You feel guilty for expressing their emotions, while the other feels guilty for not being able to return the affection.

However, if both parties truly share the sentiment, then it would definitely be a match made in heaven for both parties. This means that the ratio has the possibility of flowering in a ratio legitimate and possibly durable.

It would still need a lot of hard work and commitment by both parties. But keep in mind that this is a unique opportunity in life that may or may not happen.

Falling for a friend is a difficult situation for any man or woman in the face. The risk of losing the friendship is imminent and even more painful for the victim. On the other hand, fall in love with a friend can lead to a beautiful future between two people who really care about each other, provided both are willing to work at it.

I'm In Love With A Cougar

Dear Lucia,

I am in love with a woman I’ve been dating for a month.  How do I make her fall in love with me?  I am 24 yrs old and she's older, but I don't know how old.  I invited her for lunch but she didn't show.  I also invited her last Sunday and again she didn't show up.  I tried her cell phone but she was not picking up.  I was a bit down because we arranged to meet and she didn't show up.  How do I make her understand I'm in love with her?  Please help me.  Derrick

Dear Derrick,

It’s very hard to convince someone of something that isn’t true.  The truth is that you are not in love with her.  I know it, she knows it and maybe somewhere inside you, you know it.  You make be infatuated and obsessed, but you certainly can’t love someone after only one month.  Love develops as a result of getting to know someone.  You don’t even know how old she is!

Although it’s not right for her to stand you up, the reason she’s doing it is because you’re creeping her out.  She’s doesn’t want to turn you down, so she pretends she’s going to see you and then doesn’t show up.  Even if you haven’t said, “I love you” to her, your actions and attitude are showing her that you are way too into her after only one month.  You’re coming across as desperate and unrealistic and that is never attractive.  We all want to be with someone strong.  Someone who is willing to put up with being continually stood up is not strong.  Are you sure you’re even dating?

If there is to be any hope for you, you need to back off immediately.  Don’t call her for a week.  When you do call, don’t ask her out.  Have a short, pleasant conversation and get off the phone.  You can ask her out the next time you talk.  If she doesn’t show up again, she’s not interested or she’s lost interest in you as a result of your actions.  At that point, all you can do is learn from your mistakes and move on.
